Fort Greene Park Greenmarket

Washington Park at Dekalb Ave
Brooklyn, New York 11205

Located outside the entrance of historic Fort Greene Park and surrounded by chestnut trees and centuries-old brownstones, the bustling Fort Greene market serves a diverse community of young, urban professionals and multi-generational families who gather every Saturday, year round, to mingle and shop for everything from Evolutionary Organic’s micro greens to Glebocki Farm’s affordable staples like potatoes, onions and vegetables grown in Orange County’s famous black-dirt region to Cato Corner's delicious cheese (including their famous Womanchego!) and Pura Vida’s fresh fish. Be prepared to spot Nick Morgenstern from The General Greene shopping for fresh-picked apples from Wilklow Orchards for his impossibly flaky apple pie, and Catherine Saillard from iCi whose farm-to-table menu is inspired by seasonal ingredients.

You can shop for everything you need at this market, eat at one of the well-known farm-to-table restaurants in the neighborhood and go to nearby Brooklyn Flea (open on Saturdays in the Bishop Loughlin High School parking lot.)
