Windsor Meat Co.
Caulfeild Village
West Vancouver, British Columbia
(604) 926-6168
Established by the Freeman family in 1948, Windsor Meats has since then become a highly regarded butcher shop within many households across the North and West Vancouver areas.
In 2004, the Caulfeild store was purchased by current owner Bett Prosperi-Porta who, fed up with the poor quality of meat in supermarkets and most butcher shops, set out to provide his customers a truly superior product. With that, the store's platform was changed, and a focus on free-range, all-natural, non-medicated, and local meats, as well as a vast selection of natural sauces, condiments, oils, snacks, and pastas were introduced.
Due to the store's popularity, and an increased consumer concern for natural products, a second store was opened in Edgemont in 2007. With the help of head butcher Doug Freeman, in just a few short years, both stores have gained a strong support from loyal customers seeking an unbeatable shopping experience.
In addition, Windsor Meats has also garnered widespread attention from media, the lastest being Breakfast Television which invited both Bett and Doug on the show to talk about their products. The store has also earned various awards in local publications and grown into a highly demanded meat supplier for a large number of fine dining restaurants across the lower mainland.
